Helping Texas Families Thrive
At Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas (MCFS), we recognize that Texas children and families sometimes face unexpected challenges that can disrupt their lives and put strain on their well-being. Whether it’s a gap in employment, setbacks in education, or the overwhelming stress of daily living, MCFS is here to lend a helping hand.
Our Texas-Sized Commitment
Building Brighter Futures
It’s our mission to provide comprehensive services tailored to address the diverse needs of Texas children and families. We strive to empower those we serve to overcome hurdles and reach their full potential, contributing to a stronger future for our entire state. Here’s how we help:
Meeting Basic Needs
When families struggle to put food on the table, afford necessary medications, or keep the lights on, it impacts everything. MCFS provides crucial support by helping to cover the costs of food, rent, clothing, medical care, prescriptions, and utilities.
Beyond the Basics: Case Management for Families in Crisis
Through our partnerships with other dedicated organizations like Presbyterian Children’s Homes, we provide case management services to families facing significant difficulties. These services offer comprehensive, targeted support to help families address a wide range of challenges and regain stability.
Healthy Smiles, Healthy Kids
Good oral health is essential for overall health and well-being, but dental care can be expensive. We provide funding for urgent dental treatment and promote healthy smiles for thousands of Texas children through our Fantastic Teeth Fan Club program.
Specialized Therapies, Support, and Training
When a child has unique needs, MCFS strives to be there. We offer funding that helps connect families with specialized therapies like:
Unlocking Potential
Education is a powerful tool for success. MCFS provides support in many ways: tutoring, school supplies, after-school activity programs and career counseling.
Who’s Eligible for Our Services?
Our primary focus is on assisting Texas residents facing financial challenges. Need is carefully assessed and all eligibility determinations are made at the sole discretion of MCFS. Families must have a child 21 or under residing in the home. Additionally, we provide assistance to widows of master masons who are 55 and older.
