Autism Support Services / Therapy
Therapy for Your Child
We understand that parent training is just one piece of the puzzle. That’s why MCFS also partners with trusted therapy providers throughout the state. We provide funding for you with therapists who specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based therapies for children with autism. These therapies can help improve communication, social skills, adaptive behaviors, and overall well-being for your child.
We’re Here to Help
Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas (MCFS) understands the unique challenges families face when a child has autism. That’s why we offer specialized support services and therapy designed to help children with ASD reach their full potential.
Even young children can show early signs of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Here are some key things to look for:
Social and Communication Differences
- Limited or no eye contact
- Difficulty understanding or expressing emotions
- Doesn’t respond to their name when called
- Delayed speech or unusual language patterns
- Prefers to play alone
Repetitive Behaviors or Restricted Interests
- Repeats words or phrases over and over (echolalia)
- Gets very focused on specific objects or interests
- Inflexible routines and difficulty with change
- Unusual hand movements like flapping or spinning
Sensory Sensitivities
- Overly sensitive to sounds, lights, textures, or tastes
- May seem under-reactive to pain or temperature
If you notice any of these signs in your child, it’s crucial to talk to your pediatrician. Early diagnosis and intervention are key to helping children with autism reach their full potential.

Helping You Help Your Child
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex condition that affects a child’s development, including the way they communicate, socialize, and behave. As of 2023, the CDC says as many as 1 in 36 children in the United States will be diagnosed with ASD. This diagnosis can affect any child, regardless of their family’s background or income.
