Keeping Families Safe and Stable

At Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas (MCFS), we understand that unexpected events can shake even the strongest families to their core. A sudden illness, job loss, or other crisis can leave you struggling to pay your rent, keep the lights on, and put food on the table.

We’re Here to Help

When times are tough, MCFS is here to lend a helping hand. Our goal is to provide a measure of stability so families can stay safe in their homes and focus on overcoming adversity. We partner with Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS) to offer support during difficult times. Since our founding, MCFS has helped meet the basic needs of countless Texas families. We’ve aided those enduring the COVID-19 pandemic and are still seeing the impact of economic changes affect many. When hardship strikes, we seek to prevent the worst by ensuring that families can retain their housing, keep their utilities working, and provide for their children.

How Our Program Works

MCFS provides essential support with needs like:

Rent Assistance

Helping to prevent eviction and maintain housing stability when unexpected circumstances cause financial hardship.

Utility Assistance

Keeping vital utilities like electricity and water connected, ensuring families have a safe, habitable home.

Food Assistance

We recognize that housing security and food security go hand in hand. We may be able to make referrals to local food resources as part of our holistic approach.
